Service Technician

Focus on electrical engineering / mechatronics / for worldwide use in mechanical engineering

Your tasks:

  • Implementation of repairs, maintenance and commissioning on our worldwide used tool grinding machines and machining centers in Germany and abroad (i.e., includes independent planning of installations, coordination of appointments, delivery of repaired machines to customers, etc.)
  • Technical advice for our customers and support in case of problems and malfunctions (i.e., regarding preventive maintenance)
  • Diagnostic inspection and fault correction on our tool grinding machines and grinding centers (i.e., especially on machine controls and drives)
  • Performing software updates and eliminating simple software errors on PLC controls
  • Retrofitting of grinding machines and grinding centers according to customer requests (i.e., such as steady rest, pick-up system, tailstock, etc.)
  • Creating documentation (e.g., maintenance-, measurement- and error logs)



Your qualifications:

  • Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic or a similar specialization. Subsequent training as a technician or a foreman would be beneficial, but it is not a precondition
  • Several years of professional experience in after-sales-service and likewise as well-grounded theoretical and practical knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Know-how in electrics and electronics (PLC) as well as CNC drivers are advantageous
  • Safe handling of MS Office applications, capability in PC technology and good practicable English skills
  • Distinctive service and customer orientation and the willingness for regularly travel worldwide
