Metal Cutting mechanic (m/f)

Preconditions: at least a good Hauptschulabschluss, Realschulabschluss, good manners and teamwork.

Duration of training: 3.5 years (shortening possible)

At the beginning of the apprenticeship you are going to learn the basics of metalworking such as filing, turning, milling, drilling, etc. Then you will learn how to read drawings and production plans so that you can get the ability to plan the production process. Afterwards you will get the know-how to align and clamp tools and workpieces, and how to turn, mill and grind. Towards the end of the apprenticeship you will learn how precision tools get machined on numerically controlled turning- and tooling machines.

You will also learn how quality inspections get realized and how to carry out a maintenance and take care for machines, tools and equipment. This includes the independent setting up of the respective machines and devices. As a prospective metal cutting specialist, you produce high-precision gear cutting tools and special form cutters.

Practical training offers you solid prospects. Vocational training is imparted by experienced instructors and supports with regular in-house trainings, training excursions, etc. We support our apprentices with own training workshops. In addition to technical training, we promote communication skills and team spirit.
